There is a rich interaction of plants, animals and climate in the savannas. On the African Savannas, such as in the Serengeti, one such scientist has spent a great deal of time studying the behavior of Hyenas. Meet Karen Kapheim, a Ph.D student who started her career in the wilds of Tanzania.
