Summary and Professional Objectives:

My long term professional objectives are to be a positive mentor, entertainer/program host and be an influential advocate in the areas of science, nature education and conservation of indigenous cultures and knowledge. Specifically I am looking for a position as a nature and science show host.

 

I am a multi-faceted educator with over fifteen years experience teaching classes, guiding expeditions, facilitating adventure programs, and teaching people the skills necessary to effectively interact with others and their environment. I am the president and founder of The Wild classroom organization and have ambitions to be hosting/acting and assist production in films and television shows dedicated to nature and cultural education. I bring many of my life experiences and passions for life to students as an educator and a mentor.

Biodiversity of Mexico Project. Hazen Audel, Robert Nelson, & Clay Traurnich.

An educational and adventure documentary filmed throughout the varied habitats of Mexico from the both the Eastern and Western Coasts from the Northern Border to the Southern tip of the Yucatan. The emphasis of this documentary is to record and demonstrate the abundant natural history and biodiversity of Mexico as well as documenting the culture and cultural practices of the local people. During this film, a team of four young energetic scientists, (an oceanographer and marine biologist, an ethnobotanist, a geologist, and a naturalist) set off to study, climb, surf, and explore Mexico in a broken down van carrying surfboards, Ramen noodles, precious cameras and scientific equipment and a motley crew of highly intelligent and capable scientists. Plenary Speaker, Building Bridges with Traditional Knowledge, Summit Meeting on Issues involving Indigenous Peoples, Conservation, Sustainable Development and Ethnoscience. Honolulu, Hawaii. Huaorani and Environmental Impacts on the Yasuni and National Preserve in Southwestern Ecuador. May 29, 2001. I was an elected lecturer to represent scientific findings and Indigenous Peoples of Ecuador. Many Scientific world authorities and over one hundred and seventy countries were represented in the audience of this lecture at this International Symposium.
